The moment when you begin with the hike, you get to see the beautiful mountain views and wild trees. the green environment here is outstanding and was getting surprises by nature every next step we went through.

Though the greenery found along the trails was unique and pretty, i loved exploring it all and interacting with it while we tried to sort out the names, where it came from, the type which it belongs too.this was one of the reasons it took me a long time to reach the waterfall.

After hiking a halfway, i finally ended with the first path, which was a very tiny hidden stream. I read somewhere that it has a swimming hole about 10 minutes before we get started with another trail, so i had brought my swimsuit so that i can take my turn and jump in the crystal clear water. After the swimming hole, there is another side with a little bridge in between,on either side of the bridge, there is like a roller-coaster way up. We can walk straight on the maintained road, or we can simply climb up the hill if you want to make it more adventurous.

This place is heaven for photographers as they get to click every marvelous thing the next turn, also the gym freak person can do a workout in this steep hill while climbing up.

So after walking on the maintained road, I could finally see the waterfall.

I was surprised with my mouth wide open after seeing the waterfall. It was soo, amazing, and peaceful. I could see some more hikers, families, climbers climbing the waterfall with the rope. I was beyond happy as it was the result of my 4 hours adventure. I could spend a few days in Hamama falls directions, where my eyes and heart were filled with the playful yet peaceful beauty of the waterfall and the people. ‘Fancy bees are not hikers’ saying this does not mean fancy bees are not intended for hiking, but you cannot be just fancy with unfolding yourself to the life experiences. One needs to be careful and decide according to the trail they are going on.

How to reach to Kawasan Falls?

 Cebu City to Kawasan Falls

Kawasan falls placed in the mountains of Barangay Matutinao, Badian.

It will take 3 hours of bus ride from southwest of Cebu City at a distance of 130 km. You can pick up all buses going to Bato (via Barili). 

Oslob to Kawasan

It will take 2 hours (82.2 km) via Natalio Bacalso Avenue and Santander – Barili – Toledo Rd.

 Moalboal to Kawasan waterFalls

It will take 46 min (25.7 km) via Santander – Barili – Toledo Rd. Due to a short distance, you can hire a private taxi or take a local bus to reach the location.

Bus stop to Kawasan

When you reach the bus stop from it, you will find a billboard that shows that “This Way to Kawasan Falls.” you need to follow the route shown on that board. Some locals come and ask for a guide saying that route is dangers. Don’t worry, the road to it is very safe and secure.
